Wednesday night wasn’t just about the final score.
Miami handled Stanford, 79–70, moved to 17–4 on the season, and took care of business. But while the Hurricanes were doing their job on the floor, there was also a big name watching from the stands.
Cody Peck, a top-100 player in the 2026 class, was in the building. The four-star center made the trip from Davidson with his family for an official visit, getting his first real look at the Watsco Center and seeing Miami win in person.
Peck’s offer list is already stacked. Miami, Tennessee, Clemson, LSU, NC State, Wake Forest, SMU, Creighton, Georgetown, Dayton, and more are in the mix.
The North Carolina native is a 6-foot-10, 205-pound center out of Davidson Day School. He’s ranked No. 81 overall in the 2026 class, according to 247Sports.
Miami wasn’t Peck’s only stop. He’s already taken visits to Dayton and Tennessee as well, but Wednesday night gave the Hurricanes their shot to make an impression.
