I hate playing against "undermanned" or "dinged up" teams. It always reminds me of UNC 2004 and that ****ing Halloween nightmare. Watching their 8th string FB run all over our team was scary.

9th string RB. 9th.

I think he was some intramural star who won a walk-on contest for that game, and then never played again.

Worst part was that he trashed talked our entire defense for the entire week prior to tearing us up.

And f*ck Connor Barth as well. Kid never missed a field goal against us ever

Awesome. #5 is so true. The media acts like that f*cking play was the only time a team ever scored on a hail Mary pass.

Flutie isn't even the only B.C. Quarterback to win a game on a Hailmary. From the link in #5:

1964- The Eagles knocked off highly ranked Syracuse 21-14 on September 19 in the season opener as Larry Marzetti hit Bill Cronin with a 45-yard touchdown pass on a fourth-down play as time ran out. A freshman running back for the Orangemen that year was Tom Coughlin.

Larry's play took place against a team ranked in the top 5, not the 5 loss Hurricanes of 1984. Marzetti is a recently retired attorney that worked in the same suite as me. Dude is all about his alma mater, but never mentioned this play to me until I found out about it on my own. When I brought it up to him he just smiled and said, "Yea, that was my moment in the sun".

/cool story bro

Very good.

If we win, I hope ypu do more for every game.

If we lose, it doesn't matter, mail it in.

BC usually sneaks up on us in November in Chestnutt Hill. (cold, boring, meaningless game)

This is different. Prime-time television on opening weekend as 1 pt underdogs?? Sheeeeeeiiiit
History is on our side in those regards.

Wasn't our previous game against them a miserable Matt Ryan-fest? We lost like 28-14 but it wasn't even that close. In Boston. Cold. End of seaon. Am I right? Randy's first or second year.

^yep. Kyle Wright's last game.

Just went back and read ESPN's recap and box score for that game. Seems I thankfully erased most of that era from my mind. We are definitely on a much better track now. Randy's first quote in that article was pretty perfect: "very disappointing...a lot of guys expectations when they come to the university of Miami is to win."

That says a lot.

BC isn't in Newton. It's Brookline or Chesticle Hill, right?

Yep and Sensobaugh there safety called us out that week about having a small playbook and simple offense and dude proceeded to pick us off and make us look like basura

anyone else feel this BC game is a 'must win'? Seriously, if they can't come up victorious against this club, well, it's going to be a looooooooong season

I think its imperative to get off to a good start and have some momentum going into the Lil Apple

It's pretty close to a must-win, IMO.
