Duke Johnson will murder these guys, that #1 from Tennessee is nowhere near the same class

I will believe Gordon is playing when I see him on the field. He's had to leave both games early with a nagging injury.
McKissic hasn't been a target much early on, he's drawing the tighter coverage so we are throwing more to Tres Houston.

A new sticker idea:
"Miami Football - facing opponents with their best players out with injury and still losing since 2005."

It is sad that we reallydonhave to worry about Arky State. If we do lose then Golden is done. Tennessee is in a very similar program state with a newer coach. If they can handle Arky State by 2 TD's there is absolutely no excuse in the world to lose this game.

It can't even be described as a trap game.

Their guaranteed 110% effort versus anything less than 100% will end up as a crippling, embarrassing loss.

A loss might be Golden's USF. They'll have to wait until the end of the year though. There is no one on the staff worthy of the interim position.

What I wouldn't give to have Arkansas States AD. Guy has a great eye for coaching talent and is ambitious.

Dean Lee. He hired Freeze and Malzahn. Currently out of athletics but I can get you his number.

*******.

Depressing.

Not the writing, just what was in it, and it being true instead of some nightmare. I guess it kind of is a nightmare, we just happen to be living in it like some bizzaro world where a sunbelt team has a honest chance to beat us, and we're not down our best guys and starting a walk-on DT as our QB.

What is the total in improvements ASU is currently doing to the stadium? Didn't they raise about 25 million for the new press box and the north end of the stadium. We drove by the stadium Labor Day weekend ont he way to Louisville to watch taht tremendous performance.

Year 4 and I am hoping to see progress in a game versus Arkansas State.

I typed it, reread it 50 times, and still can't ****ing believe it.

^^This. I never in a million years would have imagined this to be true. But it is. How sad our program has become.

Thanks, arkstfan.

I saw he got hurt in the Tennessee game (ribs?) and was listed as questionable. I just assumed he'd be ready.

I forgot about the bowl MVP thing with Lee.

These ****ers were on ESPN All Access today on ESPNU. Was watching some of it. As much as I want to believe we should kill these guys, it'll probably be close. I have a feeling this might be UNC or Wake Forest of last year. Jesus God help us.

Exactly this. We should kill this team, they are not good. But we won't, it will be a 14-21 pt affair, and it won't be that lopsided til late.

Qushaun Lee is a beast. He will fvck someone on our squad up.

Ark. St. also has 2 quality CB's in Artez Brown and Trevance Patt. They will give Kaaya and Corch Corley massive problems.

Oh yeah Sterling Young as pretty **** solid at safety as well.

This team is NOT a pushover.

Flash hurt his ribs early against Montana State, tried a flak jacket and didn't help much. Aggravated it against Tennessee.

Q is nursing an injury as well but you'd have to put him in the ground to keep him from playing. If he'd have grown two inches his freshman year the NFL would be all over him. As it is the scouts are really interested but general speculation is that unless he posts a blistering time at one of the combines everyone is thinking UFA.

I appreciate that most of the fans aren't taking a "patch on the jersey" determines quality approach. That's stock and trade when we face SEC. I watched a good bit of FAMU on ESPN3 last night to get caught up on Miami. I think the 'Canes are one of the most athletic teams I've seen us face and we played the SEC East and West champs last year. Pure athleticism 2012 Oregon was the most stunning team I've seen us play. Most times I'm watching and see guys on the opposing two-deep that I think we've got someone who is better. Never saw anyone on Oregon's two deep we could replace except maybe PK.

One other thing.

As a person who loves the game. January 2, 1984 was the best day of college football ever as the improbable upsets fell in place in the bowls to make it possible for the Orange Bowl to become winner takes all instead giving Texas or Illinois a chance to grab it with a loss and then Auburn looked awful against Michigan in the Sugar.

It was the first time I had seen someone from outside the accepted club of the elite become national champs. BYU repeated the feat later in the year but Miami in the BCS era never could have done that. Going into New Year's Day with five teams having a shot was what made New Year's Day so special.

I can still see the final minutes of that game clear in mind. It was fantastic.

Me too. It might be another 30 years before we are back to that.

Unless I missed it Trevance Patt is still playing at Louisiana, he's pre-season all-conference. Rocky Hayes plays for us and was pre-season all-conference at corner but Andrew Tryon beat him out.
