Central Michigan University
Central Michigan University is located about two hours away from the University of Michigan. Aside from being a non-military school and primarily running the option in 2026, Central Michigan is located in the middle of nowhere. The University has deep connections with the Ojibwe Chippewa Tribe and has even included it into their helmets.
Being a party school, they party hard and they have an 18+ nightclub that people drive from all over the state to visit. If you ever walk around their campus, you might encounter a squirrel that students like to call the unofficial mascot of the school. The campus sits in the city of Mount Pleasant, home to about 21,000 residents. With a 90% acceptance rate, it's known to be one of the easiest schools to get into in the state.

-- FIRE THE CANON! Since 1952, Central Michigan has fired off a cannon every single time they score a touchdown. Luckily, you won't have to hear the cannon this Saturday, as they're playing at Hard Rock Stadium. The CMU ROTC fires the cannon from the northeast corner of the end zone.
Tim Allen, an American actor and comedian who voiced Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story. Dic* Enberg, an American Sports broadcaster who is considered one of the best to ever do it. He is famously known for his catchphrases: "Oh, my!" and "Touch 'em all."
Who's the head coach?
Central Michigan head coach Matt Drinkable enters his second season as the head man in Mount Pleasant. He is currently 2-1 on the season and 9-7 overall with the Chippewas. Prior to CMU, he served as the offensive line coach at Army, where he brought over the run-heavy option offense. In 2014, he was hired as the head coach at Kansas Wesleyan, an NAIA school. He ended his tenure with the Coyotes with a 42-17 overall record before joining the Army staff.
Last time we met
The last time the Miami Hurricanes collided helmets against the Central Michigan Chippewas on the gridiron was in 2019, when the Hurricanes escaped with a 17-12 win. Former Hurricanes quarterback Jarren Williams completed 17 of his 24 passing attempts for 250 yards, while running back DeeJay Dallas had a rough day on the ground, only rushing for 34 yards on 14 carries.
I was 12 years old watching the game--I don't remember much from the contest, but I do remember that there wasn't much cheering watching the game unfold.

Who's The Quarterback?
Meet Angel Flores, the quarterback who has more rushing yards than passing yards. Yes, you read that right, your eyes are not deceiving you. Flores currently leads the Chippewas with 312 yards on the ground across 60 carries, along with three rushing touchdowns. The Central Michigan offense will bring their ground-heavy offense to Miami Gardens. Let's get this straight: these guys will not pass the ball very often, as Flores only has 26 passing attempts on the season. Expect to see Flores run a lot Saturday night.Who's the head coach?
