He has the necessary qualifications at an expert level, has translated that towards a gradual increase in roles and opportunities in College Football, knows the players and is familiar with both their work, plans and habits and has worked in this field for ten years at the very minimum coaching young athletes.

It's a B. It'll improve to an A if we have a healthy team and well developed freshmen.
So you're having all this debate with me for saying its C to B- instead of B?

It's S&C. Outside of maybe 5 guys (Glass, Marotti, Ballou, Sinclair, and the guy at Iowa) any S&C hire is going to lack luster. If you can even name 10 more current S&C coaches off the dome, you're either in the business, a 1%er football dweeb, or some spectrum of rain man.

Please go back and read the entirety of the conversation if you think that that was the issue.
I very much encourage you to go back and to look at my first few posts about the "issue" lol. Like what are you complaining about at this point.

If your issue is the whole its BS that experience matters, yeah thats an opinion I don't share. You can go on believing that, and I'll disagree. I generally value prior experience when making important hires. And if you don't have that you need to have other very clear positives that make it worth it. And even then I can still say it's more of a Risky hire than alternatives. A track record of success is better than no track record.

Again, reading comprehension is really hard for you and I get it.

The issue was, from the start, that you opened your mouth to an awfully big extent exposing you have no idea what you're talking about and when challenged you refused to acknowledge the very basic limitations your argumentations had. And I repeated myself multiple times trying to explain it to you, which you ignored, because you were "technically correct, the best of correct".

I'll refrain myself from responding to you in regards to this topic as of now, it's 6:47 AM and I'll have to go to work.

An awfully big extent that I have no idea? Lol. What very basic limitations my argument had?... Literally my entire original statement was it was a lackluster hire because he had never proven himself as a coordinator before, and because of that is a C to B- type of hire. Like are you having some major argument in your head where I'm in a 12 round fight with you? You can disagree. But you very much are effectively trying to argue about you grading something as a B and me a C lol. Like that is literally what is happening.

You really didn't like the Technically Correct part, which is funny because A) it is just a fact that I was 100% correct, and B) Is literally just a quote from Futurama, ironic given your name and ******* profile pic is literally about Futurama! lol like what the ****... I hope you see How I view this as very funny...

By no means am I saying it’s a bad hire. It’s too risky to hire a new guy right now when it’s the most important time for a S&C coach so I get making him the head guy. However, just because the kids endorse him doesn’t mean it’s a good hire . Kids usually like “ comfort” and I hope that’s not the reason. It should be a love/hate type of relationship to be honest lol

It's lackluster because he's a completely unproven coordinator at any level, and we are trying to be a solidified top 10 program who is currently spending a lot of money. What is so complicated about this?
Again, you’re just assuming that, you don’t know that for a fact, you don’t know anything about him. So maybe in the future, instead of assuming, give the man a chance first before you call it a lackluster higher or not because you might’ve been the same person calling Tommy Moffit a lackluster higher for us back in the day and we all know what a monster he was for us.

the problem isn't reading comprehension, it is an irreversible personality flaw associated with the sphincter that allows waste to exit the body plus severe denseness. he cannot be fixed and would fight about the spelling of the word comepinga.

He's been taking the lead for the last few months, so if it wasn't working out, Mario would have already made a change. If we continue to recruit at a high level and bring in good athletes, we shouldn't have to worry about this

Geography was a factor that you were given.

That does not mean that geography had anything to do with the decision.

You understand how that works?

What a stupid ******* response.

I did not say geography was a factor for Feld himself.

You understand how that works, genius?

Lol I'd love to hear what grade you give this hire. Also let's get a verdict if I am right or wrong about him being our S&C Coordinator. @TheOriginalCane already said I'm correct and the other guy was wrong, but maybe y'all disagree with him too lol.

Dwight Galt, Penn State and formerly Maryland seems to do quite well at turning out combine warriors.

@Bender I'm definitely going to need a response to you being mad I wrote 'I'm technically correct the best kind of correct' and whether or not you are actually a Futurama fan or just faking it or if it went over your head. It's important to set the record straight on your name+profile picture and fandom lmao

But my point is not a 100% right/wrong analysis. You are correct about the job titles. I'm just cautioning not to read too much into the job titles, which have been evolving over the past 10 years.

I'm saying that both of you had some good points. I will be the first to tell you that I MYSELF don't know much about what makes "this guy" great whle "that guy" sucks, certainly not as much as other posters do.

So that's why I defer to the posters who have specialty knowledge that I do not have. That is all. I'm not in a rush to opine on whether this was a "great" hire or a "sucks" hire. I think we all felt good about Feld when he was originally hired, based on what he accomplished with Mario at Oregon and Alabama, and not what his job title was.

Several posters have made several good points. I want to see some results instead of judging solely on a resume. That's just my 2 cents.

I'm mad? Since when? You just can't read and refuse any sort of relevant counterpoint to your argument and then state "I'm correct".

Yes I know the reference, but to be absolutely honest, 1. didn't even think that you meant that (absolutely no chance) and 2. the scene that was referenced had evidence on paper proving that Hermes Comrad was indeed correct. All you have is your subjective feeling and opinion about something.

Now if you'd excuse me, I have a one hour Zone 2 run ahead of me that I won't enjoy.

I in fact did mean that reference which Is why I literally wrote it almost exactly. I mean it's a very specific thing to say and not to have been a reference. Anytime that quote is used it's a reference to Futurama.... What I absolutely did not intend/foresee and was 10000% the funniest part is THE guy on CIS whose name and profile pic is a reference to that same show to be the ONLY one to respond about it lol. Imo was close to demanding a trial to determine your true fandom lol. But I'll hold off for now.

Regarding pt2, I mean my evidence on paper literally wasn't subjective feeling. Like it too was literally "evidence on paper" on the form of a tweet, that I already shared. So...?

Have fun on your run haha
