Pretty lackluster hire. He was an assistant at Missouri then here then Utenn for 1 yr then back here then promoted within a month…
I think he was just hired last week.. but promoted him today once Feld resigned.
Why did feld leave so late. Guy maybe screwed us. If we had more time to make a good hire maybe we end up with someone better
What do rugby players think about him though?
With this kind of hire it seems that Mario probably had one maybe two guys he had in mind to replace Feld and if it was who he had in mind exactly then he wasn’t going to **** around with an extensive search… it was whatever after that.

Feld’s departure was months in the making and bringing in Young a month early “not as the guy” for seamless transition and optics reasons?

This doesn’t make alot of sense for a program who spends on personnel and positions…..
Couple people on here mentioned they heard Feld was leaving a few months ago. Have to imagine this was in the plans
Time to pretend that we have great insights into S&C coaches and their qualifications …

You guys are over thinking it. They knew Feld was stepping down. Young was always going to be the replacement. Why do you think they randomly brought in some “assistant trainer”?
Keep recruiting athletic monsters and this guy will look like a top notch strength coach it’s really that simple lol
You mean Georgia’s S&C coach can’t turn a 2 star 5’11 LB that’s190 lbs into a 6’4 245 lbs all American?

Other side of that coin is they lost dude to VT and the other guy to the Raiders and hadn't replaced them. I'm sure they knew this Feld thing was brewing and Mario learned from Saban to save face on firing guys.
Hope this new guy is capable of doing his own thing without having to purchase programs
Why is it lackluster? Have you worked out with this guy? Have you trained under his tutelage? Do you know anything about how he conducts his strength and conditioning? Do you know anything about him?
He / She is an expert, don’t question.
