Will miss this kid. Was fattened up unnecessarily by gluten and for reasons that escaped me, rode the bench this year. Kid is a very instinctual runner and if he keeps his weight down a bit, i think he has an outside chance at making a 53 man or a practice squad.

This is crazy he needs to get his degree this is a life altering decision. F the NFL get your degree young man.

If Mike James can have an NFL career, Joe Yearby can have an NFL career or atleast get a couple practice squad checks.

I don't agree with this statement.

Mike James is a complete back. Yearby is a situational back.

Plenty of situational backs in the NFL collecting pay checks - some over a long duration.

Could agree more - The only thing that might help him is getting away from this OL - run blocking was pretty weak vs Duke

Stephen Morris and guys like Laron Byrd cashing more checks than half the people on this board from being on practice squads.

Man, Yearby is the ultimate Compu Back!!! Just wait until he gets to a team that know how to use one ... ie NY and NE with Dave Meggett killed teams with with over 3,000 yards receiving out of the backfield. Here's Bill Parcells on his Compu Back with Dallas:

Yearby was a class player who never complained or caused drama. Best of luck to him. I hope he can find a role on a NFL team and earn some real money, maybe even a pension.

^This deserves a second post^

The clowns on this board are priceless. Yearby couldn't take carries away from Gus?

Yearby had been ****ed all year long by this staff. During our 4 game losing stretch he out gained and avg more yards per carry than Walton. Vs UNC he had 14 carries less than Walton, yet had 74 yards vs Walton's 82 and avg 4 yards more. The only game in that stretch Walton looked better on paper than Yearby was ND. A game in which Yearby got 6 carries all in short yardage situations. Perhaps had Yearby been given the chance during that stretch to carry the load we don't lose all 4.

The hate from the masses on Yearby all steams from him coming here over the guy that sold out and went up north. Yet that punk has the nerve to rep the 305 all the **** time.

Given the chance this past season Yearby would have had back to back 1k seasons and this one would've been way better than last. I'm glad he is getting out of this BS situation and taken a chance at playing in the NFL.

I wish the young man luck and hope nothing but the best for him because he played all out every chance he got here.

A bunch of situational backs are making money just the same.

Yes they are, but the vast majority of them have a 5th gear and know how to pass protect.

Skinny jeans Yearby is stuck in 3rd gear and he protects like a broken condom.

I like him as a runner but he is nowhere near a Mike James as a complete back.

The more U bash our players it proves that most of you know very little about football and each position. Food for thought, a certain NFL rookie named Alfred Morris set the Washington Redskins' single-season rushing record after posting a 4.67 time at the 2012 Combine. I can't wait for the first bum to say, but Yearby is no Morris as though they knew who the **** he was before the Redskins!

You flip flop more than a fish out of water. If you think Yearby has no shot; I sure as **** know you didn't think M. James had a shot... So keep it moving Flipper!!!

It means you have no eye for talent. You have no idea how players are to be used. And you simply don't know shoit! Here is a little more food for thought:

Alfred Morris went on to achieved the following:

2× Pro Bowl (2013, 2014)
Second-team All-Pro (2012)
PFWA All-Rookie Team (2012)

Career History:

Washington Redskins (2012–2015)
Dallas Cowboys (2016–present)

For the unlearned (Canes Density). This proves that even today you don't need long speed to be successful as RB in the NFL.

And what the fvck does Alfred Morris have to do with Joseph Yearby?

Jesus on a pogo stick you are a dense motherfvcker
