Miami Hurricanes point guard Acaden Lewis and small forward Shelton Henderson are receiving high praise from national college basketball analyst Andy Katz.

On Wednesday afternoon, Katz put together a list of the top-10 sophomores heading into the 2026-27 college basketball season, slotting Shelton Henderson at No. 7 and Acaden Lewis at No. 9.

The Hurricanes are the only team on the list with two sophomores named among his rankings.

UConn shooting guard Braylon Mullins headlines the list, as Illinois forward David Mirkovic comes in at No. 2 and Michigan guard Trey McKinney rounds out the top three.

Henderson was named to the Preseason All-ACC First Team, after coming off of an incredible freshman season. He not only made a name for himself, but is also being considered as one of the top players in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Last season, Henderson started in all 35 games, averaging a total of 13.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.1 steals per game in 31.2 minutes of play. He also shot 56.7% from the field and a low 25.5% from behind the arc. Despite his three-point shooting struggles from last year, he said that he tweaked his jump shot this off-season, hoping to have a bounce back year from the three.

Lewis transferred over from Villanova, where he had a remarkable season with the Wildcats. As a freshman, he set a new record for the Wildcats, breaking the freshman record for most steals in a single-season with 63.

Lewis averaged 12.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.9 steals per outing in 30.5 minutes of play. His best outing was against the Georgetown Hoyas, after logging in 26 points, six assists, three steals, and three rebounds, while shooting an efficient 73% (11/15) from the floor and 60% (3/5) from behind the arc.
