Hey Pete.... what do u mean neither are pure safeties...?

I can't see why UF is so attractive because under Muschamp, they'll be no better then a 6 win team for the foreseeable future. He stinks as a coach, and I don't see him exactly surrounded by all star assistants.

U have to realize that these guys (atheletes) grew up watching Florida winning... I felt Urban left because he knew he couldn't win with out a playmaker like Tebow.. but they will learn when they get there that UF is no longer a power house and don't have the right build up to make it anymore... the swing is coming back 2 miami... its our turn to rule again they will learn.... golden will show them....

if we get hammered FSU will pick up the part of the swing that we couldnt. With UF on decline and sensasionalism scaring away recruits... FSU might luck into getting a very good team.

And that my fellow fan is very true... and with all these alligations during a very crucial moment in recruiting... it can scare away a whole lot of kids...

Neither have necessarily made huge impacts on the game from the safety position

So why is every one so high on them being top notch safeties... Who are the purest Safeties in this 2013 class in your opinion?

Because they are both elite athletes. Burns might be a better corner than safety right now, but should be able to get onto the field quicker at safety with the need that we have right now, that's probably where he plays here. He has a high potential at safety.

Carter has an incredible size/speed combo from the position, which has future NFL pick written all over it. He would be a very good receiver, but his ceiling is much higher at safety. Burns has long arms, good range, and will be the fastest player on the field in every game. Obviously, as we've seen here the past 5 years, athletic ability doesn't translate directly, but I think that this staff is capable of developing talent.

Leon McQuay is nasty, but Miami isn't really in the picture.

I think we need to start recruiting out of armwood...

Not looking too good for Matthew Thomas and Denver Kirkland right now, I suppose.

Like Tryiq McCord last year, or like actually not in the picture?

McCord was in the picture last year at this time. He was planning a trip to the senior day and obviously made it down and that was what sparked the seriousness in his interest. Tyriq's mom loved Miami's academics situation and that was also a big factor.

McQuay just doesn't have sincere interest from what I've been told.

Marcell Harris has Miami in his top 5 but I was told the Canes don't have a legitimate chance. UF/FSU like jandman said
