THE UGLY
Let's just get it all over with, shall we?
_ First time in Miami history that the Hurricanes have given up at least 40 points in three straight games.
_ Miami will be unranked later today. It's the first time a Miami team went from the Top 10 to unranked in the same season since 1968. It had never happened to any Miami team that was ranked No. 7 (as this team was) or higher.
_ It's the first time since 1999 that a ranked Miami team lost three straight games.
_ Miami has allowed 500 or more yards eight times since the start of the 2012 season. It happened on just six occasions from 1996 through 2011.
_ Miami has now had at least a three-game losing streak in six of its last eight seasons. Miami had two three-game slides, total, from 1985 through 2005.
_ Miami scored 30 points against Duke. The 'Canes had won 158 of their previous 162 games when scoring that many.
_ Miami had 28 first downs against Duke. The 'Canes had won 33 of their last 36 games with 25 first downs or more.
_ Miami lost for just the seventh time in the last 36 games when throwing for at least 300 yards.
_ Miami is now 3-13 when trailing at the half since the start of the 2011 season. (17-1 when winning or tied.)

I remember watching the Duke v VT game from earlier this year thinking there isn't a chance in **** that we could lose to either of these teams. They appeared to have two of the worst offenses in the history of college football. There aren't words to describe how I felt watching those two teams march up and down the field on us, I have been a Cane fan since the late 70s and I have never seen a more disorganized and poorly coached defense, **** the whole **** team is a dumpster fire.

Just to get it out of the way because he gets butthurt when people don't give him credit for stupid stuff, but if you didn't already know those stats were "found" by Tim Reynolds.

Golden is delusional! D'Nofrio I hope has a good 401K plan because he'll never get another job! Donna Shalala has to do what's best for the institution not for Golden at this point. I appreciate what he done. What he's been through, but this is about the second stage of resurrecting the program and they've clearly demonstrated they cannot coach. She has to put out feelers to Kirby Smart (Bama) and Greg Schiano (my #1) to guage their interest and Pay them Big $$. Smart can be lured by the chance to have access to the best talent pool in America. Schaino is a highly experienced coach, was a really good HC and realizes pro ball not secure. At the U he can become our Saban.
