One of the most athletic prospects in the 2027 class, North Carolina native Jaxon Dollar was a major headliner during Miami's recruiting efforts this past weekend. A multi-sport standout on the hardwood and gridiron, Dollar is a unique prospect who provides exciting mismatch opportunities at 6-foot-5, 230 pounds with an impressive catch radius. Targeted by some of the top schools in the country such as Notre Dame and Georgia, here's what the five-star had to say to me for CanesInSight following his Miami visit.

Overall recap from his visit:

“Definitely physicality.”

“People say Miami is not in the SEC, so not a hard playing school, but it's straight physicality every rep.”

“Having this place as an option is great. Obviously it's a great travel spot, but football, school, and the campus is beautiful, so just having that as an option is a blessing, truly.”

“Their plans are to use me as how I'm best at — put me outside, fade ball, put me over the middle, do everything to give me the ball.”

“I just need to wait till the future to see where I go.”

On the tight end coach transition:

“I like the transition. The old coach was a coach with my brothers as well so that [change] kind of took a toll, but Coach Viti is a great, great guy, great coach.”

“His background's amazing, so seeing that relationship going with him now, can't wait for the future.”

“He’s from Army but he’s a laid back guy as well. He was teaching the tight end group how to be better if they were blocking or even routes on air, how to break it off faster.”

On coach Cristobal:

“I talked to him right before I came here actually, it was good just being back with him, seeing how we were doing.”

“His history and his tight ends history as well, having almost one tight end go to the league, so that's a good thing to know in making my decision.”

On where Miami stands in his recruitment and his timeline:

“Miami stands pretty high, I'm between three schools right now, but I’m making my final trip to every single one.”

“I'm trying to make the decision before my senior year, but everybody's speeding it up, so I'm really having to cut down and make sure I keep my spot.”
