Transfer portal season is just around the corner, players are already leaving early, putting their name in early in the portal.

One name Miami fans should look out for is Missouri junior guard transfer, Anthony Robinson II. He announced his intentions to enter the portal on Monday, and sources tell CIS that Miami have very close ties with Robinson, as Hurricanes coach Charlton Young coached him at Missouri.

Robinson averaged 8.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game during 33 games in the 2025-26 season. He shot 41.0 percent from the floor and 31.4 percent from three-point range. He was also named SEC All-Defense two years ago.

As a member of the Class of 2023, Robinson was a three-star recruit out of Tallahassee (Florida), according to the 247Sports ranking system. He was the No. 17 overall prospect in the state, the No. 26 point guard in the class and the No. 150 overall prospect in the class.

Robinson was one of the top defenders in the SEC conference last season. He knows how to use his body, and is very good coming out of pick and rolls. He started as point guard two years ago, and upset No. 1 Kansas.

I expect the Hurricanes coaching staff to be involved here, sources tell CanesInSight. If you want to see how he plays on the court, check his film out down below:

Should be noted that he was a full-time starter at Mizzou in 24/25 (shot over 40% from 3) and a lot of their fans were frustrated that T.O. Pierce took over as a starter 14 games into last season.

I don't think he would be the Tre replacement but definitely think he can slot into the spot that Tru just vacated. Big time defensive player as well.
