He's got a definite case of little-man syndrome.

Anyone know how good his comp is?

Its 4A, the highest level in NC. Ive seen him play my former highschool Garner (who eliminated Leesville the last two years in the playoffs) the last few years. Were usually one of the better teams in the area/state, and he always seems to make plays - one of those "hold your breath evertytime he catches the ball players", sometimes its tough for him though because the D keys on him so much.

Anyways back to the level on competition. Its not as tough as high level florida/texas/cali competition, but its atleast good.

If there is legitimate interest both ways going into the season, I may have to check out a few of his games this year.

my college gf went to southeast raleigh.....i played college ball in raleigh.....the areas football isnt that bad like u said...its been some talent come through there...but i think more of the states talent is in the fayetevill area to the charlotte area football wise.

i would agree with that. Fayetteville and the charlotte area are definitely more fertile for talent, but raleigh and durham are coming on fairly strong. The state as a whole is for the most part.

Slightly off topic, but serious question: of your son had a free ride from Harvard or Stanford, is there any chance in **** you would let him go elsewhere? Football is fleeting...the national alumni networks you become a part of with a degree from those places is permanent. I'm a second generation Cane and have the **** logo tattooed on my person, but if my kid had the same offer from Harvard as he did from The U I'd be hard pressed to not make him take it.

I can totally agree with you. That would be a **** of an education. However, I think I would ultimately leave the choice up to my kid in the end...unless it was Fsuck!

Did not know there were so many canes in the RDU area. I live in Fayetteville area. Competition is better in the Fayetteville/Charlotte areas.
