I also have visited San Francisco plenty... The homeless crisis , needles in the streets, garbage, and expensive prices are drowning the average person. An Uber driver worked 3 jobs to live 40 minutes outside the city the last time I went 2 years ago... It is very sad indeed.

For the decade I've worked in the tech field and having lived in Texas and Seattle, I consider myself lucky for never having to live in the Bay area.

The campuses at UM (Coral Gables) and UCLA (Westwood) have a very similar feel. They are both like a beautiful & peaceful oasis located in a large metropolitan city. Yes, Westwood has more retail & restaurants as well as some Class A office towers in slightly closer proximity to the campus (some of them are walking distance -- although NO-ONE WALKS ANYWHERE in either Miami or LA). However, there are also all of these things around UM too (just slightly more spread out). Net net the two schools have a remarkably similar feel to them. UM is a great fit for the UCLA DT and we'd love to have him. I attended UM and have lived in LA for about 18 years (Wilshire Blvd right near Westwood & Santa Monica) and went to UM.
My old stomping grounds! Is Hana Sushi still there?

Fvck no it's not... to get to downtown Miami from campus is like 5 minutes. From UCLA to downtown la is an hr easy
Truth...most of the time. I made it from Downtown to 405 in less than 15 once. During the "Rodney King Riots". Fup day for ALL. That's why the man we honor today was as courages as they come, he went about it peacefully, through logic and in the pursuit of unalienable rights for ALL

THIS IS WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW.

ELAM is a longshot and they legit have had NO ONE come up or no new offers...so whats the contigency plan to Williams?

Like they are doing at QB, i would be "EVALUATING" and offering another cb prospect...if not we are back int he portal for the 5th time at cb lol
This to me is kind boggling dude. UM can’t find CB’s?!?!? They wash up on the beach here like coconuts.

Do you live here?

You ain't getting from your home to a main road in five minutes in Miami traffic.

UM to downtown is a little under 10 miles. You're looking at 25-30m with mild traffic up US1.

A quick Google Maps Search tells me from UCLA to downtown LA right now is 35m in 16 miles.
Actually yes. I have a house in Calabasas. Never once seen that ride take any less than an hr. But we'll agree to disagree I guess. That downtown from campus at um dont take no part of that time unless it's near rush hr. I get from kendall to south beach in 15 minutes if I push it. 30 minutes driving normal

Right this very second, with clear roads at 11pm, it'll take you 30m to get to South Beach from say, Miller Rd in Kendall.

You sounding like my wife rn with directions.

Looks like Miami wont target him till after signing day since he cant graduate until May anyways
that actually works out better for us. We can take Boykin and have another spot for someone else on NSD and then free up a spot for Hill in the Spring/Summer. Win-Win

man I'm ready to roll with the following
DT - Nnoruka
DE - Boykin
DE/OLB - Phillips
DB - Emerson and Williams
OT - Washington
QB - Matocha or Legendre

and then bring in Hill in the Spring/Summer once another spot opens up

Bogle can honestly fvck off to the $EC at this point

If we close on a few of them and get this class in the 20’s which doesn’t include the transfers, it’d be a **** of a save from this staff
if we close on most everyone we seem to want/be after, we could even jump into the 17-20 range would be absolutely incredible considering where we were a month ago

West wood village is walking distance to UCLA. Big difference from houses on Granada too. It's not just a shopping area but the whole feel of Westwood village is different from what we have. It feels like a simple extension to campus. Not at all ****ting on us. Cant wait till the dorms are done. Just pointing out it's a very different vibe.

This is factually incorrect.

Am taking a Multi-Variable Calculus class at UCLA every Wednesday from 6PM until 10PM.

Coral Gables is much, much nicer than Westwood....

Westwood was THE neighborhood for 18-35 year olds in LA during the 80s. Santa Monica built the Promenade, Hollywood and West Hollywood cleaned up and Manhattab Beach opened a slew of bars during the 90s. Between 2007 and 2011, Westwood's downtown had a nice mix of fast-food, good bars, some very good restaurants and a few excellent restaurants. The Downtown area took a hit between 2011 and 2015. Approximately, 12% of the storefronts are now closed and almost all restaurants cater to student budgets.

There are countless articles about "downtown Westwood's" decline.

Housing is entirely different. Westwood is still one of the top-15 places to live in LA. Westwood homes are much nice than Coral Gables' homes and I grew up in Coral Gables.

I don't know about much nicer... Gables Waterways have some large properties with ocean access, and Westwood can't compete with that.
