Peter Ariz had a chance to speak with a couple of players at Miami Hurricanes Media Day, where he caught up with Hurricanes wide receiver Chance Robinson
Here is the full transcript of the interview:
How are you feeling?
It's good to be back. Summer was hard work. I worked with my teammates, but I'm done, man. I just got to bring the desire to work. I'm just very ready for training camp. Ready to just put in the work and compete.
How are you feeling today after coming off an injury?
It was just a lot of sitting back and learning, I learned a lot sitting back with all the guys I was in the room with before, you know what I'm saying, they all just did their thing and, now it's just time to work, time to put in that work, as I said, make sure to come back, just show people what I can do, and that's just what I'm ready to do.
Talks about his body transformation
I've really stayed the same, just dropped more body fat. I didn't really have a problem with anything when I came in. My body fat was good, and my weight was good. Just now, I'm really just staying in shape. Receivers got run all day, so that's all it is. Right now, I'm just the same thing, 6-1. I'm on 199, 200, flat, just good.
Where do you think your game has taken the next step?
Going through all my routes. I feel like that's my biggest strength. It's my strength, so if I can pair it up with some good routes, I can be dangerous, I can be a problem, so just be more physical through all my routes.
Thoughts on the quarterback room, and his relationship with Carson Beck
Everybody wants to win. Everybody's ready to work. Unselfish teams can go a long way. Everybody's just been buying in and just been ready to work. Carson came in ready for business, ready to work. He wants to win just like everybody else.
