Miami v. USF nearing sell-out

It’s looking BLEAK. I took **** and rightfully so for that notre dame game where I was dead wrong. But this looks bad as of 1 o’clock on Thursday. USF was significantly better than this by Thursday
There was a good crowd from USF at the game. Their band also took up an entire section of the upper deck.

So dumb. I will never understand why we are the only team that that gets **** on for this, when we consistently outperform so many big public schools despite being one of the smallest schools in all of D1.

Nebraska will keep touting their sellout streak even though their own fans laugh at how it’s faked because the tickets are all bought up by a couple key boosters to keep the streak going.

Florida brags about attendance in all sports, and is consistently caught lying and no one cares. Game 1 of this year was nowhere near a sellout (was maybe 75-80% full) but they bragged about the attendance being ~1500 over the Swamp’s actual capacity.

FSU just reduced their stadium’s capacity to a size on par with HRS because they weren’t even selling out back when they had their championship season in 2013, let alone in any of the years since. And even in our worst years, FSU doesn’t do that much better than us in attendance, especially when you consider that they are a large public university. And they don’t do better than us every year.

UCF has something like 60K students, and they’ve never once had better attendance than us, even in our down years.

I’m just really over it.
Thank you for someone finally backing up the points I have made for years regarding attendance. All things considered, we punch well above our weight on attendance and we receive unwarranted, baseless, outright propagandist abuse on the issue.

Yup. Perhaps our fans need to go to other schools and see that we are not alone. I have preached for years about the number of times I’ve sat in a quiet, empty Swamp.

Looks about the same as it did against ND on seat geeks.

There are 1,300 seats left through the University.

I’d imagine we get about the same crowd as week 1.

Yeah, I think it’s because the teal seating really sticks out and exaggerates the attendance issue. The Swamp can look full at 75% of capacity because they have bleacher seating where people can spread out and the colors blend in more.

So few teams consistently sell out their games AND fill their stadium.

Would be epic if it matches notre dame. That was incredible turnout

This is true, but I’ve been to plenty where the Swamp maybe 50% full at most, and then much, much less after halftime. I’m talking maybe 10K at some games, if that.

I’ve told this story before, but when I was at grad school there, I brought friends who went to University of Washington for an SEC rival game. They laughed at the unimpressive atmosphere and how quiet it is there, and left with everyone else at halftime.

DJ also sucks.

Playing music for a 70 year old.

Dude, the DJ cutoff Sweet Caroline during the USF game and the crowd continued to sing after the music stopped. People are s***ing over some of the music but that's the music that's getting the most response.

The UF/LSU game had a lot of empty seats in that stadium. There was one point during the 3rd quarter when they panned to the visitor side stands and there were tons of pockets of benches with nobody in them.
