Miami Shows Intrest in Monmouth Transfer Forward Jaret Valencia

Miami and coach Jai Lucas have reached out to another forward in Monmouth transfer Jaret Valencia.



ThePortalReport on Twitter announced that Miami is among the schools that reached out to the Monmouth transfer, which also include SMU, Syracuse, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, Rutgers, Oregon State, DePaul, Toledo, St. Bonaventure, UAB, and New Mexico.

Jaret, a 6-foot-9 sophomore forward, averaged 6.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.1 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game, starting in 13 of 27 games for Monmouth in 2024-25. He shot 49.8 percent from the field and 41.3 percent from three-point range.

The 6-9 player from Colombia made the CAA All-Rookie team two seasons back and was selected as a second-team Preseason All-CAA choice for the current season.
