What type of contact will he be allowed with recruits? Is it possible Cooney has any impact on our offense(play calling, etc.)? Will he still be able to work the 7vs7 circuit?

By this point, Cooney should have already cornered Pope in a Southridge hallway and said, "you're coming to the U, end of dicussion, shut up and just fall in line to put on for your city."

I'm no expert, someone else can probably add more but they cannot directly coach or recruit (so they cannot leave campus to see recruits or make phone calls). They can however be contacted by recruits I think and they usually play a big role for recruiting visits. They also help out a lot with the day to day stuff ensuring players are doing what needs to be done. I would think he would quit his 7v7 stuff but that's just my opinion, no facts.

Good ole Dave Cooney. Oh, he'll bring in some players. You can bet your bottom dollar.

For Richt to pull something like this, someone must have told him that Cooney was really really a Godfather in Dade and that he will earn every bit of that money we are paying him. Unfortunately, I doubt we receive any dividends from this in 2017 (maybe Henderson I guess? LONG shot) but Im hoping 2018 and beyond is where we will really start to see this guys power. (starting with locking in Pope and Wiggins..)

having him tied directly into the 7 on 7 guys is the part im really diggin!!!

yes its nice that he has the big HS background but i have a feeling that we will land some of those kids from the 7 on 7s

So when does Pope commit?

If this guy has any juice Pope is in the bag by March.
