Miami OT Francis Mauigoa on Carson Beck 'I'm not going to let anyone touch him'
Miami and the Hurricanes players wrapped up their interviews at ACC Media Day, where Carson Beck received high praise from offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa.
When Mauigoa heard Beck was coming to Miami, he immediately texted him, saying, “I’m not going to let anyone touch him.”
Francis also emphasized that Beck comes to every practice fully prepared.
“He shows up ready every practice, he’s very open-minded, and he’s a special guy. Just like Cam Ward last year, I feel the same energy with Carson Beck,” Mauigoa said.
Mauigoa is entering his third college season as a player on the rise. After allowing five sacks during his true freshman year in 2023, the 6-foot-6, 315-pound right tackle didn’t allow any sacks last season and only committed three penalties.
Mario Cristobal also gave an update on Carson Beck this morning:
“In spring ball, he was limited—didn’t get to do much. But within a week and a half to two weeks after spring, he’s been full-go and has participated fully in everything we’ve done. Tremendous competition, accurate arm, strong legs, strong runner, excellent human being. We feel we’re getting the best version of Carson Beck.”
