Miami officially announced to the ESPN Events Invitational

The tournament field for the 2025 ESPN Events Invitational has been announced, and Miami will be joined by Dayton, BYU, and Georgetown in a four-team bracketed tournament.

The semifinals will be held on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, while the championship and consolation games are scheduled for November 28.

This marks Miami's third participation in the ESPN Events Invitational, having previously competed in 2016 and 2021. The Hurricanes hold a 2-4 record in the tournament, finishing fourth in 2016 and sixth in 2021.

The tournament's official bracket and game times will be announced later.

BYU gonna smash that bracket no matter who they play between us, Georgetown, and Dayton.

Good early test that should pay dividends later on, though.

BYU certainly has a great incoming freshman class. But those pups aren’t always ready early in the season, and they are losing their really good PG to the draft. Our challenge will be chemistry early in the season with literally a new team.

They supplemented with 5 really good transfers in Rob Wright from Baylor (to fill said PG spot) and Kennard Davis from Southern Illinois at the 3...with 3 others transferring in as well. AJ Dybantsa *might* have some growing pains, but that "pup", as you put it, has some massive freaking paws and will probably play as well as anyone in the country from day one.

If we're going to catch them before they gel early in the season, that might be anyone's best bet in that bracket - but they ought to be pretty good by most accounts.
