Miami keeps winning, and the bracket picture keeps getting better.

The Hurricanes went on the road and beat the NC State Wolfpack 77–76 on Saturday, another quality win that pushes them further away from the bubble and closer to feeling comfortable about Selection Sunday.

Joe Lunardi now has Miami as a No. 9 seed in the West Region, matched up with Utah State in the first round. Win that, and there’s a possible date with No. 1 overall seed Arizona in the Round of 32, assuming the Wildcats take care of business.

Lunardi projects eight ACC teams in the field, led by Duke as a No. 1 seed. The other top seeds are UConn, Arizona, and Michigan.

ACC teams projected:
  • Duke — No. 1
  • Virginia — No. 5
  • Louisville — No. 5
  • North Carolina — No. 6
  • Clemson — No. 7
  • NC State — No. 8
  • Miami — No. 9
  • SMU — No. 10
The Hurricanes isn’t worrying about the bubble anymore. The Canes are playing their best basketball at the right time, and that’s all that really matters.
