Miami is back on the recruiting trail and staying close to home.
Mario Cristobal and wide receivers coach Kevin Beard made an in-person visit to Dillard High School on Friday afternoon to check in on four-star wide receiver Anthony Jennings.
I caught up with Jennings to talk about his recruitment and how the coaching staff has been staying in touch. We also touched on which schools are standing out early and whether any visits could be coming up. Here’s what he had to say:
"It’s pretty good and I stay in contact with recruiters Joe Brown and Frank Tucker. I will visit this spring for a couple of practices for sure."
Jennings is a top-30 wideout in the country. The 6-foot, 165-pound receiver out of Fort Lauderdale is on Miami’s radar as the Hurricanes continue to push to keep these local kids home.
Per the 247Sports recruiting rankings, Jennings is rated as the No. 213 player in the 2027 class. He also checks in as the No. 29 wide receiver nationally and the No. 21 prospect in the state of Florida.
The Dillard wideout already holds a strong offer list that includes Miami, Florida, Florida State, Tennessee, Indiana, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Boston College, and others.
Another South Florida kid Miami is working hard to keep home.
