Toure had multiple injuries, Bonner hurt last season
Playing the last game of season, surely is a disadvantage for the team, but not for the players, as they can extort you knowing the window is closed, and most talent is already gone.
Would be ironic if they’re the ones who convinced Aguirre to enter the portal after losing Ferrelli to Ole Miss, lol
I really hope we can get this kid back in the fold. Didn’t really flash elite speed or athleticism, but was a nice, solid part of the rotation that gained valuable big-game experience during our playoff run. If we lose him , without gaining someone of equal to better ability, I would start to feel a little uneasy about our depth at LB.

But what if his ceiling was say 300 snaps again?
We should have been active in the portal for LBer in the first place. I've been screaming it all season.
And what if his ceiling was a starter and 500 snaps? I mean we could play the hypothetical game all day with every player on the roster. He played the 3rd most amount of snaps for LBs this year and had the 2nd most returning entering his 4th year. We don’t really have to overthink this. It was likely his job to lose. Unless he is off to Boston College or somewhere that is going to win 7 games, he is going to have to compete for a spot anywhere worth a **** in a brand new defense under a brand new staff. Again, makes no sense leaving his situation here for that.

Exactly we needed a portal backer even if he stays. Without him we need 2 guys, **** wild we have Toure and.then a bunch of guys with zero snaps behind him.

If we had good or better behind him, they would've played. LBer is far and away the weakest unit on both sides of the ball. (yes, I know TE...but they just block....sometimes)
He played starter snaps for us this year, who would he not start over in 2026
Thats the one I forgot him and JJ Edward's too, but we're dangerously close to banking the season on a ton of LBs that have zero snaps here
