You seen his pops sitting right there, look like he just jumped off shift or about to hop on with the Hurricane shirt on.. No matter what people say nowadays, its makes a HUGE difference..

Salute to the family!! I know its a great moment for them overall..
That’s funny because I kept looking at his dad as well to see how he was reacting to AJ’s comments.
Very stoic until the very end.

Actually, mopes can have their purpose. We should salute all the mopes who bemoaned the Coker era Canes and the Shannon era Canes and the…etc, etc.
They were depressing and annoying but they were proven correct.
Now we’re in a blessedly different time…

For those who saw the commitment I am sure they will agree that he is EXTREMELY respectful and likable young man. The difference between his annnouncement and some other people…..could not have been more glaring.

Maturity is an actual thing. Some have it, some do not.
💯 super impressed w him and his family!!! Rock solid foundation

The problem is the asymmetry in the reactions & discourse that is initiated from both the Mopes & Slurps. For example, when things are perceived to be going poorly, the Mopes immediately become the most active posters on this forum, & feel empowered to spread negativity & toxicity, but when things are going well, they are nowhere to be found. This was most apparent this past season when the team had its best season in over 2 decades; some of the most influential posters on the forum, who also happen to be Mopes, decided to go on a hiatus during the playoff run. Why would they do this?? The only logical explanation is either:

a.) They are not really fans of this program &/or
b.) They are posting on this forum for clout

Both factions need to learn how to take a wait & see approach & not routinely succumb to kneejerk & reflexive reactions; they are doing more harm than good by lowering the overall quality of engagement on the forum.
The problem with the mopes is they have a poor perspective on recruiting. When we don't get a couple guys we're after, they turn into hysterical ******* - eg "we're losing everyone", "we must not have enough money" etc.

That's not how recruiting works. Every team misses guys they go after. I remember the mopes panicking in 2024 class when we missed on several DL targets. But we ended up bringing in an excellent group of DL that year.

It's who you get that counts, not who (or how many) you miss on.

Not to politicize this thread, but that is in many cases a byproduct of growing up in a 2-parent household.

In the NIL era, it is extremely vital that this program performs its due diligence by recruiting players that are intrinsically motivated & have strong intangibles. Otherwise, the program will end up squandering resources on players who will never amount to anything. And even if they don't completely bust, they will end up being cancers in the locker room.

I think that is sound reasoning. Plus once the culture is strong and prevalent throughout the locker room you can then take a chance on a Jeff Thomas…
