Miami will be without one of its key pieces today.

Hurricanes guard Tru Washington has been ruled out for today’s game against California. The news was first reported by Jon Rothstein, who noted the absence is due to personal reasons. No further details were provided.

Washington has been one of Miami’s most important players this season, especially on the defensive end. He leads the Hurricanes at 2 steals per game while also contributing 11.9 points and 4 rebounds per night. His ability to guard multiple spots will be tough to replace.

With Washington sidelined, Dante Allen is expected to get the start.

Dante Allen in my opinon is te better player. Washington is a bricklayer with his jump shot which rarely goes in. He's a very poor dribbler and turns the ball over.We should have won the game without him.

Dante Allen might soon be a better player, but with a team that has no depth, not having Washington is a big loss.

Do we have someone unironically saying Dante Allen is currently a better basketball player than Washington
