Some surprising news came out of CIS on Tuesday, as Hurricanes star freshman Shelton Henderson is probable for tonight’s matchup against North Carolina.

Henderson, who is undisclosed, is expected to be probable per analyst Jon Rothestien. According to Jon, his status had been uncertain leading into the day, so this is a big development for a Miami team preparing for one of its toughest tests of the season.

The freshman has been a major piece for the Hurricanes all year, averaging 14.5 points and 4.7 rebounds per game.

If Henderson is able to suit up and play close to his normal role, it gives Miami a much-needed boost heading into tonight’s ACC showdown with the Tar Heels.

Pregame warmups will tell the rest of the story, but for now, this is encouraging news for the Hurricanes.
