From the reports, we are going WAY beyond what Sorsby and Leavitt got paid. We should. We are flush with new cash and Mensah is better.
But I don't know why some of us are pretending that we aren't throwing desperation bags to get Mensah. We are acting like it is a bad thing but when it is what we need to be doing.

Every penny paid by every school for every player, and every employer to employee, is desperation. We may have been more desperate than some, but wasn’t LSU desperate for Leavitt, and TT for Sorsby, that is what happens with great talent. Someone or something wants to acquire the best talent.
Talent is also desperate to be paid.
