Here's a good one;

"For the Duke administration, on the off-chance you read this:

I implore you to really embrace that this moment is bigger than just DM.

After Duke beat Virginia to win the ACCCG, DUKE was at the forefront of college football. DUKE forced the conversation, and actively resulted in the change to the playoffs for the next year. The Duke team did that - not Alabama, not Georgia, not Miami - Duke. A school whose prior legal football case was arguing they were so bad they should remove a game off the schedule.

This case is about 2 things:

1. The big boys don’t get to do whatever they want. They don’t get to bully their way across legal boundaries to make their teams better. There is an ethical component to this - doing things the right way. Duke is building their program the right way - if the system is one where the big boys get to do whatever they want, there is no longer a point of fielding a football team.

2. Duke is an institution of learning - and it’s time they help DM learn what a signed contract means and the subsequent consequences for walking back on your word, both as a man and in a legal agreement sense. And by all means, this is also a lesson to the rest of CFB - Duke is not to be trifled with, and Duke will not roll over simply because you have a bigger wallet.

Duke took a risk on Mensah and gave him a contract that made him more money in two years than most people see in a lifetime. Generational, life-changing wealth.

Duke is willing and able to give players fair deals - all they ask is they live up to their end of the bargain.

As such, Duke should continue to pursue all avenues to ensure previously signed contracts are enforced.

Duke has the opportunity once again to shake the college football landscape - to offer clarity and guidance in an era of chaos. Manny, Nina, President Price - please see this though to its legal conclusion. This is about Duke, the future of the program, and the future of college football. Leadership isn’t easy and is the path less traveled. Don’t go easy into the good night - seize the opportunity to once again put Duke at the forefront of college football."

I mean…do they even know what Publix is up there in Duke country???

No that is not true.

It rains more in Miami (by inches of precipitation) than almost any other city in the country.

Also, Publix is overrated and grossly overpriced. The only reason to shop at Publix is the BOGOs and even those are fading in South Florida in favor of BTGO (buy two get one) or buy one get 50% off.
I tell everyone this. Only shop at Publix for the BOGOs... and I recommend everyone to get the Publix app so you can also get the digital coupons as well. It updates EVERY week so you can see and keep up with all the new sales.

Btw I do work there and trust me, those BOGOs aren't going anywhere lol they know that's their bread and butter

Mr. Nice Mon if I remember correctly. It was Jamaican/Chinese. It was on either Ives Dairy or Miami Gardens and 441. They’d have the “ Hot Bread Now” neon sign. Best Coco bread I’ve ever had.
Nice mon

And another one:

"Well theoretically DM could play for someone else if the Arbitration is completed before next season and the Arbitrator found for DM on that point. However, he likely could not participate in Spring Practice because the Arbitration is unlikely to be completed in time - especially given the amount of discovery as to tampering, etc. that Duke will likely seek. I think it unlikely that DM will succeed in Arbitration, particularly if he loses the PI.

For all practical purposes I think DM is toast if he loses on the PI. Inter alia, Miami will likely move on and hope to cut their losses re tampering that likely will be disclosed in discovery."

Many of these people are very sure they will win the PI. they seem to believe there is a mountain of evidence against Mensah and Miami that will bury this case...

Doubt it.

Very well Might happen. But are we now looking at mandys word like he's ever spoken the gospel? The used car salesman, the politicians son? I've had enough dealings with mandy to know he speaks with all of elmer fudds gift of gab. Born ****** liar.

I’m thinking he was referring to Manny Navarro and not lispy

you left out the fact half the team was 24 year old former James Madison teammates

they are all gone now. he has to actually build a team from scratch

We lose more starters than they do, I believe. They return a LOT, including some of those JMU dudes.

Wait until these people figure out that an arbitration subpoena has as much force as a Manny pregame speech.

From the Duke board:

Poster #1:
"Decades ago I was a young trial attorney for the Army Corps of Engineers who was fortunate to be entrusted with a number of really big cases in federal court. One of the Commanders I had was a Bird Colonel on his way to becoming a General. He taught me the difference between a "mission" case and a case that was just about "money".

For Duke this case is about "mission" for the sanctity of its Program and as well as the sanctity of contracts which it has . For Menseh it's just about the "money" he makes if he wins. That is a big advantage driving Duke. Duke will have a lot of staying power and can and will afford to stay in the fight all the way through Arbitration and beyond if necessary."

Interesting discussion and recent news. I'm not supportive at all for Duke to settle for just money. If it's money and Mensah not playing in the Fall anywhere, I'm cool with it. If Duke just rolls over, takes a few million, and calls it a day, with us playing Miami in the Fall against Mensah, then like others have said, I'm out.

Duke must take a stand against Mensah's self-centered, narcissistic, and egregious behavior. Anything less than him not playing in college next year is unacceptable, imho.

Poster #3
As the old saying goes “you got to stand for something or you will fall for anything” I surely hope Duke stands up and doesn’t settle. As a fan I will be thoroughly disappointed if they settle for just money because that’s what created this mess in the first place!

Interesting opinions on their board. The majority seem to want him to pay for ******** them at the last minute by not being able to play anywhere this upcoming season. Many want $$. One guy even factored in the cost of them losing out on the CFP $$ they may make next year with him as their QB (that's a laugh!). They want him humiliated and want him to publicly admit wrongdoing. Oh, and they want to see Miami suffer.......

Some crazy stuff over there...

My wife asked me why I didn’t stay to watch the celebration after the game. I said to her: “Are you ******* crazy?”

The world became a blur to me when I saw the interception. I didn’t even notice the penalty for the helmet coming off, I do remember the red confetti because it made me feel like a bomb blew me up and then I remember getting agitated with people standing on the steps instead of ******* moving so that I could get the **** out of the stadium.

So, are you ******* crazy watching that celebration? lol.

I literally bounced from my seat as soon as I realized they picked the ball off and there weren’t any flags. I wasn’t trying to watch any of that.

I'm sorry, I was too busy watching the Canes in the playoffs to pay attention, but what change did almighty Duke cause to the system?
Lol they beat UVA in the ACCCG which allowed the committee to award the final p4 playoff spot to us (2 FCS’s were guaranteed spots). CFB just changed the rule as a result to guarantee the conference championship to decide the guaranteed spot in the playoffs. That means that if this rule was in place last season, a 5 loss Duke would have gone to the Playoffs not miami.

Like I’ve said multiple times. I have zero doubt that if the playoff committee gave the decision to the ACC last season, they would have shamelessly offered their Tobacco Road cuck 5 loss Duke as their sole entry not a far more deserving miami.

Only in the ACC loser conference would you have a top 10 miami with two losses sitting home while an unranked 5 loss Duke plays UVA for the championship.

I’m not even religious and I pray for the day to come when we walk out that ACC door and, if I had my way, into a beefed up B12.

nc state guy when they were doing hating *** sh*t to our targets n commitments. chuck amato staff
Manny Diaz was also on that staff. Couple of my homies were there at the time. Cig was one of their position coaches.
