Whoa, whoa, whoa, stop the clock.

I don't want to be associated with David McKenzie.

Undergrad: Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, Tennessee
Masters Degree in Divinity: Duke
Juris Doctor: North Carolina Central University

This guy may be a hustler and a helluva gadfly, but he makes himself out to be Duke's biggest defender, as if he has a Duke Law degree.
my Point being he isn't a chapt gpt guy vs a lawyer with some notoriety around IP and specifically things in NC. Never said he wasn't also a Duke partisan/ACC stan/ or that he was necessarily right.
  • David McKenzie (North Carolina/Triangle Area): A Duke University alumnus and intellectual property lawyer who gained national attention in 2025 and 2026 for his lawsuits against the University of North Carolina (UNC) regarding Open Meetings Law and public records. In January 2026, he provided high-profile legal commentary on precedent-setting Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) contracts involving college athletes.

duke alumnus carrying out a lot of weight here considering his degree from duke is in sunday school studies.

I said Mensah’s biggest mistake in all this was committing too early. He needed to wait it out and probably would not be in this situation.
He didn’t commit anywhwre

Like I said before the game, Becker is not your traditional "good white guy" catching passes. Actually, #13 played more like Barkate will play. Insteda, Becker crushes cushion in a hurry and then boxes out DBs. How we failed to have a specific plan for that on film is sort of beyond my understanding, but I do get that OJ was apparently limited.
I know this is a little off the thread topic but the fact we didn’t have a plan for Becker, especially on third downs where they showed strong tendencies in season and in game to throw to him, was well beyond me. Nearly as malpractice as that offensive showing first half for me

"Induced" what an asinine word choice, as opposed to the thousands of recruits/graduates/job seekers each year that go places out of the kindness of their hearts and for the good of the unicorns.

I am still not sure this mess is worth it. We could have snapped up Raiola within the window for like $2ish million and had a good shot at 9 wins next year. Now we are universally hated, and likely going to be paying a ton for a slight upgrade at QB.

Mensah is significantly better than Raiola IMO. Raiola I think has us at 9-10 wins as a ceiling. Mensah I think puts our floor at 10 wins.

I dont think 9 wins is seen as acceptable anymore. They were 40 yards from a national championship. Mario doesn’t want to play in the pop tarts bowl ever again.

Not sure I can get on board with this lmao. We have been universally hated for 40 years now so that shouldn't affect or change anything. Mensah is significantly better than Raiola imo. Can't go from national runner up to 9 wins and be content with that. Mensah can make our offense special

You’d be happy with 9 wins with the team we currently have? That’s crazy.

Our team is constructed to win now, settling for anything less is a loser mentality

you dont go and get Damon Wilson to win 9 games. Mario wants to win right now and the QB throwing picks on a drive w a chance to win happened 3 times that ended in 3 losses.

Said who Bum?
duke is a better law school. doesn't mean duke lawyers are handling this. theyre off in NYC doing M and A work. if duke lawyers were handling this, they need to go back and figure out the law part of law school again and retake contracts
