This is a total mercenary move. He's banking on the fact he can get starting playing time and look good next season in the SEC, so he can command a much higher payday in NIL a year from now. It may pay off, we'll see. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Either way, I get why the coaches didn't fight to keep him.
