The Miami Hurricanes basketball squad took a major leap in the NET rankings from this past weekend.
Last weekend, the Hurricanes were ranked at No. 38 in the country. Now, after beating Ole Miss — which counts as a Quad 2 win, the Hurricanes moved into the Top 25 as they slot in at No. 25 in the country.
Jai Lucas and his squad proved they can compete with the top teams in the country. Even though they did drop the game to BYU and Florida, anyone who actually watched those games knows the Hurricanes weren’t awful. It was simple mistakes, like missed free throws that cost Miami.
Miami is legit about 10–15 free throws from being undefeated in both of those games. Jai Lucas has his team rolling, and they should finish out conference play at 11–2, especially with some bye games coming up.
