Miami Basketball Ranked No. 22 In KenPom Rankings

With College Basketball season around the corner, KenPom has released his rankings. Following Miami's Round of 32 run exit to the Purdue Boilermakers, KenPom has the Hurricanes sitting at No. 22 in the country.

KenPom’s system looks at things like returning players, offense, and defense stats, and team history. It gave the Hurricanes an offensive efficiency rating of 118.4, which ranks No. 27 in the country, and a defensive efficiency rating of 94.9, ranking No. 17 in the country.

The Hurricanes tip off their season on November 2 when they travel to Tampa, Florida, to take on the Florida Gators, who are ranked No. 2 team in the country according to KenPom.

Jai Lucas added experienced pieces to his backcourt, including Acaden Lewis, Nick Dorn, and Brent Bland, while also retaining shooting guard Dante Allen. The frontcourt is headlined by the dynamic duo of Somto Cyril and Malik Reneau, while the team also adds five-star Caleb Gaskins, LSU transfer Robert Miller, and international player Egor Ryzhov.

The website has the Duke Blue Devils at the top of the Atlantic Coast Conference, sitting as the No. 1 team in the country. Other ACC teams include the Virginia Cavaliers, sitting at No. 15, and the Louisville Cardinals slotted in at No. 17.
