I have only 3 Miami shirts. I can finally go build my gear up again. @Rellyrell
I’ve got four plus the Lace Your Boots Up tee.

Have probably last long sleeve block Miami Nike ever made, shoot might be from 2012-2013 maybe. They made it in green and black I remember, I have the green.

My brother got me a ‘47 brand gray pullover hoodie and a ‘47 green Sebastian tee a few years back. He knew no adidas.

Did cop a Fiesta Bowl quarter zip in Glendale last year. Payed out the *** but needed something from that game.

So you are comparing a 12 year old contract to a brand new contract? Brilliant.

Do you prefer apples or oranges?

NIKE actually ****. That stock is rock bottom. Maybe we save them ????
Well I guess we are about to be Nikes second Jordan moment lmao. We’re about to take over college football again for a long time. People love to hate Miami but a lot of people all over the country love Miami and Miami gear. When Miami is hot, there is absolutely no brand bigger.

You are a confused soul.

First, if the Nike deal is "heavily up-front cash apparently", then I think a casual reader of this board can figure out WHY THAT IS. Maybe you can peruse a DIFFERENT thread, one that has a couple hundred pages thus far. It's pretty smart to get the Nike cash "up-front" and then ride the annual revenue wave of the patch deal. Very smart.

Second, you have completely missed the point on my comments about forecasting. I did not say it was easy for everyone in every industry. WHAT I DID SAY is that, based on your comments on STOCK PRICES, that my comments were related to forecasting and guidance FOR PUBLICLY-TRADED COMPANIES.

Since UM is not a business organization with shareholders, none of your "gotcha" nonsense matters. It's way too late to get in a time machine to go back to 2014 Beta Blake to convince him that the Nike deal would be better. I'm not sure why you are trying to criticize me, a person who has worked in corporate finance and tax for publicly-traded companies for 25 years, based on Beta Blake's inability to do forecasting.

You can say whatever you want. You can say "those 3 posts don't negate what I said". Except...yes they do. You can feel free to go back and pull receipts, but I have ROUTINELY criticized your lack of even the most basic business-school knowledge, let alone any indication that you know ANYTHING about how big business operates. You are devoid of intelligence in this arena. You just are, and you know it, but you won't admit it.

Figure out a topic on which you can post with knowledge and authority. Such as the weather in California.
Guess it's possible to forecast for publicly traded companies, but not for a school to do the same to determine what the likely payments are for an apparel company to pay out over the course of a contract lmao. After all, wasn't that the very original "debate" regarding whether switching to Adidas was better. It's just hilarious to me how often you misrepresent what people say and mean.

It's funny how When Nikes stock is doing well or Adidas stock is doing poor, you will post about it and use that as "evidence", yet today when we switch to nike as their stock is doing bad it suddenly "doesn't matter".... Which hey I literally agreed with, but you were too stupid to comprehend that. My Actual point was that You've just flip-flopped hard as **** on the stock price topic. Not that I've ever gave a **** about it in relation TO/FOR MIAMI. And in fact even in this response I didn't say jack **** actually in regards to Nike vs Adidas stock specifically. So genuinely it's just a sign that you constantly misread everything that gets posted and twist it negatively by the fact you actually think I was posting a "Gotcha" lmao.

Oh you've worked in corporate finance and tax for 25 years... That makes it even crazier that when we were debating this for years you couldn't comprehend how a school could forecast and compare and then CHOOSE a higher Front-End deal (adidas) vs a heavily Back-end deal (nike). Remember that? lol.

But again, suddenly NOW, nike is the one to offer the signficantly higher front-end investment, and yet NOW it's so smart. yeah that up front nike cash and patch deal annually. Why exactly is that so much smarter than the annual patch deal and the heavy back-end Nike contract terms? hmmmm, could it be for the EXACT same reasons that the up-front Adidas deal a decade ago was superior to the Nike offer? interesting...

But hey, at least now we can both be Happy! We are a Nike school again, we don't have to hear you and other dude ***** and moan about jersey and merch quality, AND we get the Best deal in terms of value to the school! In JoeE I trust!
