On the bright side, I doubt Mario will let Nike ***** with our traditional unis, as in the ones he wore when he played which are current units are modeled after. He won't want Oregon part 2.

SHUT UP

WE NEVER HAD THE BEST DEAL

WE CAME OUT IN FEATHERS AND HAD LOUISVILLE GETTING PAYED MORE THAN US WITHIN 24 MONTHS

WE BACK NOW

YOU PUNK COME SEE ME
I’m convinced a lot of our fans are illiterate. If you actually read anything on the previous deal, it was obvious thst Adidas was upping our cash and merch by a significant amount. In some estimates it was almost double what Nike offered.

Nike, nor Adidas can force any school to do anything. If a school(or a coach) doesn’t want their teams to wear certain things, they can easily say no. In most cases, the apparel you see on the field was signed off on by the University, with heavy input during the design process. Mark Richt didn’t like the feather unis, he wanted a traditional template and that was EXACTLY what Adidas provided. If Mario wants that same look, Nike will provide it.

Any concern with Mali - Lennear- Amir being Adidas contracts?

Life can be so cruel. Relly has been reloading twitter for 12 years to break the news on jerseys and the one day he is slipping, @One9 gets the glory. 😂

I don't know where all the Adidas hate come from, yeah yeah they're jerseys aren't quite as nice as the Nike ones but they invested in us when Nike was turning up their nose, they gave us some needed advantages and they've been investing in South Florida. They were that good woman that fixed you up hot meal but might not have had the biggest booty. Nike is that X who you know only wants to be with you when you're winning but she's a dime piece

I KEPT NAMES OF EVERYONE ON THIS SITE THAT DEFENDED ADIDAS FOR 12 YEARS
Add me to the list and let's revisit this in three years. Nike is tanking. Stock down almost 80%. Guaranteed they'll **** up the unis and we'll end up with some upside down U or bra strap cookie cutter stupid ****. People have short memories. I guess you love having the same uniform design as Utah State.

Kind of ironic— the U as a brand is ascendant in every way possible— Nike as a brand still the world leader but losing market cap like crazy—
Talk about striking while I to. Is hot..:

The people at Nike aren’t stupid a tho they’ve kinda tarnished their brand from a corporate & stock point of view- which gave us leverage

They needed this deal- and saw the long term investment as profitable to help them in their quest…

Echeveria is one savvy cat… nothing gets by him…

You are borderline...special needs.

Yes, when a NEW contract comes out, it always "ups cash and merch".

As for "some estimates" that say it "almost doubled what Nike offered", that is a load of bull****. It has been well-reported that Nike offered a high-royalty/low-guarantee contract, and adidas offered a high-guarantee/low-royalty contract.

It is impossible to know whether one contract offer "doubled" another, but I strongly suspect that the high-royalty contract would have paid a lot more over the last few years of (a) Miami winning more games, and (b) Fanatics becoming a major seller of sports merch.

So since we’re back with Nike— are we getting the “swoosh” or the “Jordan” logo like Michigan?
I’ve never understood the difference since both are Nike brands

Seems plausible.

Our uniforms will change "because Nike stock price".

Sure. Just type that bull**** and hit "Post reply"...

Defended what? That Miami should ALWAYS take the best deal? Adidas didn’t have the best deal this time, failed to match and lost a big property as a result. That’s called business and if more of our fans actually understood that, we wouldn’t have people crowing today. Nike finally did the right thing and will reap the rewards.
Show me the money. Also idk if it was ever true, but I heard that the adidas deal had a stipulation that every subsequent contract if the aav passes us that our cash payment would automatically be equivalent to that.

Nike paid us so we sign with them, idc about merch tbh. Sign our athletes and put them as the face of marketing and give us money. Side note, this should be a real boost for basketball, adidas did hamper us there.
