Mario Cristobal Provides Carson Beck Injury Update

Mario Cristobal recently provided an update on quarterback Carson Beck, who missed the entire spring practice due to an injury. According to Cristobal, Beck is making progress and is ahead of schedule in his recovery:

“They’re going to be excited when they watch him play. Obviously, his rehab process is taking him through the spring. He is throwing some balls right now but in a very light manner. He’s reaching full clearance in the next couple of weeks. Our return-to-play specialists are really detailed guys that really work hand in hand with surgeons, specialists, and everybody involved in that one particular player’s circle. He’s ahead of schedule, and he’s extremely smart with a great presence. You’ve seen enough film of him over two years to know when he’s surrounded with the right pieces and the right scheme, he knows how to do it at a really high level,” said Mario.



In 2023, Beck stood out as one of the top quarterbacks in the country, racking up 3,941 passing yards, 24 touchdowns, and just 6 interceptions, averaging an impressive 9.5 yards per attempt. In 2024 he resulted in 3,485 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.

Beck has an impressive record of 24 wins and three losses in his last two years as a starting quarterback. He has passed for 7,426 yards with a completion rate of 68.4%, along with 52 touchdown passes and 18 interceptions.
