Welp, This one hurt...

After an incredible run in the postseason for the Miami Hurricanes and coach Mario Cristobal's squad, the Hurricanes 2025-26 season ended in terrible fashion. The Hurricanes were taken down 27-21 by Fernando Mendoza's offense.

After the season-ending loss, Miami senior defensive back, Jakobe Thomas was walking toward the locker room in tears. Moments after Miami’s year came to an end in Miami Gardens against Indiana, Thomas and head coach Mario Cristobal were seen together in the tunnel, consoling each other on the walk back to the locker room.

It was a touching moment, caught on video.

Not one either of them ever wanted to have. Because moments like that mean it’s over — not just for Thomas, but for the seniors and leaders who poured everything into this season.

Losses hurt. Endings hurt more.

But that clip says a lot about Mario Cristobal. When it’s done, when it hurts the most, he’s right there with his players. And Jakobe Thomas walked off knowing his coach had him until the very end.

That's awesome. They all fought so hard to get to this.

This board has fought to want a chance to get back for 6 ($). Mario will figure it out.
