Miami Hurricanes tight end Will Mallory has been selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the NFL Draft this afternoon. Mallory was picked 162nd overall in the 5th round, making him the second Hurricanes player to be selected in this year's draft.

Mallory is known for his speed, having been the fastest player at his position during the NFL Combine earlier this year. He ran an impressive 4.54 40-yard dash, showcasing his explosiveness and athleticism on the field.

The Colts will be hoping that Mallory's speed and receiving ability will make him a contributor early on. With his size and speed, he could see an opportunity right away as Indianapolis brings in a new era under head coach Shane Steichen and 1st-round pick Anthony Richardson.

Mallory was the second Hurricanes player picked this year, with Tyrique Stevenson going to the Bears in the second round, and cornerback D.J. Ivey also getting picked in the 7th round by the Bengals.
