The Louisville Cardinals lost one of their, if not their best player ahead of the Miami Hurricanes game today.

Point guard Mikel Brown Jr., who can light you up from anywhere on the court, has been officially ruled out during the game today versus Miami.

It was reported that Brown will miss his second straight game with back pain. He also didn’t play against Syracuse last game, which forced him to sit out eight games in the middle of the year.

If you don’t understand how big of a loss this is for the Cardinals, just check out some of his stats from this past season as a five-star freshman.

Brown is averaging 18.2 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game while shooting 41.0% from the field and 34.4% from beyond the arc.
