If there is a better linebacker down here, I haven't seen him.

Ideally he'd be a little twitchier, but he's a smooth athlete who can blitz and cover.

Linebackers that cover people??? What are they?!?!

Sadly we have probably the best coverage LB coming out of HS las year sitting on the bench.

smfh at people who don´t want a kid because of 5lbs. The Randy Shannon way of ******* up a programm.

Exactly, we need some kids that are football players, ala Ed Reed, kids that may not be the ideal size but just make plays

200 lbs is a bit light. By the time Swasey puts the needed weight on him, he'll be another stiff player on the roster. We need kids of in 215-230 range

I agree. sometimes you just have to let a guy play a position at his natural body weight. Look at Chick, DP, Gaines(FWIW) and Cornelius(FWIW). Having those guys physically bulk to the point of loss in athleticism is pointless.

But I also think it's just like playing a player out of position. Yeah, there may be a position of need on your roster but moving players around only stunts growth and continuity.

Impressive, want! I like this kid he has got some wheels and he brings the wood. He will gain some weight.

I believe Sean Spence started as a true Fr at 6'0/6'1 195 lbs and was the best player on our defense.

Other stud UM LBs that came in under 215 lbs:

Ray Lewis
Jonathan Vilma
Dan Morgan
Jon Beason
Denzel Perryman

Well, Al said so himself that it is no longer okay to come into UM as a 190lb LB. So those days are over for the most part. I know you say the kid is 200 but I will bet he is about 192.

Look I am all for taking kids like this. I said it before if we are taking guys like Ryan Mayes and Dennis Turner (neither really impressed me this year) then why not this kid? God knows we need as many LBs as possible.

Skai Moore was a HUGE miss and there are ZERO excuses. Im not buying the whole, "Matthew Thomas told Al he was coming" nonsense. I think that was a lie. I think somebody TOLD Al MT was coming and he trusted the source and took it to the bank. Now you got this kid Skai who will essentially ball out for an SEC team for the next 2-3 years. Smh.

In the end, we wont take this kid. Lets just wish him the best and hope this is not an Elvis Dumervil 2.0.

As a Cane since 1978 and seeing the really good and great DC's we've had up until post Shannon (as a DC), ain't nobody blowing up under D'Nofrio!! If Warren Sapp was playing for he'd never reach draft status.

Was sellin skai moore to um alll **** yr and they flat out blew it...knew skai would start at usc from day one..he's like 6'3 220 as a true fresh...an was the bpest lb in broward imo. I don't know wth **** they were thinkin there.,.

I'll keep this kid as a plan b through signing day

I was certainly wrong on that one. Didn´t think Moore was that good. Hope Golden has learned from that mistake.

i was bias as skai was my best friends younger cousin...but kid just made plays after plays in high school..and i know the growth potential he would have as he had the same frame as my friend who after freshman yr was a 6'3 215 pd wide receiver.

i would of took Moore regardless of Matt Thomas decision...i think they were tryna let that situation play out and thought they could just Juwan Blee skai with a late offer...

I see him as a plan B kid who will provide that quality depth and STs with maybe a chance in a RS jr or sr year

We missed on Moore when we got burned by MT on signing day. For everyone *****ing about that.

we didnt get burned though.....the kid didnt even want to take on official visit...then he basically said it was a wrap after the btw fiasco at the school..(it was done before then)....fsu was calling the kid theirs in the **** summer.

it was just bs....which is why im more mad about it...as i would of signed them both imo...our lbs arent that good to begin with.
