Live Thread Updates: Chaminade-Madonna vs. Deerfield Beach

Game is about to get underway. First Chaminade home game since they put the lights up. Should be fun. I'll keep you guys posted on all Miami commits and targets.

 

Couch has been left on an island all game and has held up for the most part. One area that Deerfield has exploited him is in the short crossing routes. Overall, I like what I see.

 

McDougle just took his man to school. 30 yard touchdown pass the first play after a Chaminade interception. Deerfield now up 13-3 after the missed extra point. Not sure who was in coverage for Chaminade but it was not Couch or Smith.

 

Willie Moise has not blown me away at right tackle, but he has held his own for the most part.

Chaminade's drive goes nowhere as the first half comes to a close. Deerfield up 13-3, 24 minutes left to play.

 

 

We are back. Chaminade received the first half kickoff but fumbles. Deerfield starts in the red zone.

 

The stadium here is not great so I could not see who it was. A Chaminade player got an interception in the endzone, Returned the ball to the 45 yard line, then fumbled giving the ball back to Deerfield. It may have been Keontra. Once I find out who it was I'll let you guys know.

 

Tough blow for Chaminade. Right when they needed a stop to try to get back into the game, Deerfield converts on 4th down and moves into scoring position.

 

Big stop for Chaminade. Need to get something going on offense if they are going to get back in this game.

 

Chaminade with a lot of easily avoidable penalties. That's not how you make a comeback.

 

Dunmore has been made a complete non factor for Chaminade. Very impressive play from Lafrance.

 

HUUUGE break for Chaminade. McDougle touched the ball off of the punt and Chaminade takes over at the 3 yard line.

Maybe dunmore should strip down to his girdle and take his helmet off. That's when he plays best.

 

Big time 3rd down stop by Deerfield. 4th down from the 1 yard line coming up and it appears Chaminade is going for it.

 

Franklin bring Cash in motion but takes the ball into the endzone on his own. Touchdown Chaminade. Deerfield Beach leads 13-10 with 2:20 left in the 3rd quarter. Folks, we have a ball game.

 

Forgot to mention this but Knighton has come back in the game. Injury was nothing to worry about.

 

Cam Williams finally makes a play. Shows off his mobility and brings the ball carrier down outside the has marks.

 

Keontra Smith is taking over. On a huge third down Smith comes free and blows up the QB geting his second sack of the game.
