He had an outstanding freshman season and I remember how refreshing his recruitment was. There was no wavering, attention seeking moments.

I've never been more confident saying "first round pick" before. I think it's 100% guaranteed. He's 3 and gone.
JJ shows just how overrated Chad Thomas was . JJ looked better as a True Fresh than Chad did as a JR. U wanna talk scary , add DJ and Garvin to the conversation . Garvin who IMO is 1 of the most underrated in the whole HS rating system . We pretty much know DJ is gonna be off the charts ,but give Garvin this little extra time as a EE and he's gonna eat just as much as anyone .JJ-DJ-BETHEL and Garvin together with solid play at DT and we're talking records that may not be broken . And if KOOL somehow gets Echols or Conliffe or both ,NOW THAT WILL BE A DL THAT SABAN AND ALL HIS 5*'S DON'T WANT ANY PART OF .
Will be better !!!!
He will have to deal with double teams next season. Teams will have to game plan for him. Best DL since Calais.

If they actually decide to double Jackson, they're going to have a tremendous problem with Norton and Mcintosh (especially). If I were an opposing O-Coordinator, I prefer to double Mcintosh so he doesn't disrupt the entire offense from the middle. Either way, it's pick your poison next season. We can take all 4 starters out of the game and likely still have 4 guys who'll play in the NFL rotating in.
That's whose style and attributes I've been comparing him to since I saw him pick up Tre Johnson off the edge and toss him aside in Fall practices.

His get off is incredible but his closing speed is more incredible

I'm actually shocked by how quick he is off the edge. He often doesn't even need to use a pass rush move cause he simply beats Tackles around the edge.
That's the thing. But I seen him disengaged with his hands as well and not get stoned when his speed rush is not there. He will only get better when kool teaches him more counter moves and ways to set up the OL

To me, it looked like Diaz and Kul played the WVU QB differently in spurts. You'd see the DEs playing closer to contain and allowing a blitz to get there or the coverage to do its job. It's in one of those where Joe Jackson seemingly said "let me just throw this LT aside" with a shed move and got a sack. NFL stuff as a relatively raw DE.
