When Matthew Cleveland committed to Miami, the instant thought was he would come in and fill the void left by Jordan Miller. Although there is a huge chunk of the season remaining, Cleveland’s efficiency from the floor has been reminiscent of what Miller brought to the table.

I hope cleveland can keep it up somewhat close to that level the whole season. Also, miller was really physical and i hope cleveland match that physicality and leadership that Miller brought to the table. That is undervalued. Cleveland has improved as the year has gone on since colorado game.

I would never say Miller was"really physical." He wasn't.

He had, as they say, a high basketball IQ and would always seem to get himself in great position - in and around the key - once the ball went up on both ends of the court.

Miller was tough as nails. He wasn’t a bruiser by any stretch of the imagination, but he was physical and tough.

Physicality and toughness have been Cleveland’s biggest weakness so far, but he definitely does appear to be improving in those areas recently.

Honestly, Matt was not physical in high school. He just jumped over everyone and had a really quick 2nd jump. I just don’t think he will ever be physical, but he is nonetheless very good. His turn around jumpers against Clemson were critical in the 2nd half.

Certainly not a bruiser, Miller was consistent as they come and like you said had a knack for being in the right place at the right time.
Cleveland lacks consistent play but you can see flashes of it. I think he is just getting settled in with the squad and will continue to improve.
He is vital to the success of the team, we need health on our side this year.

I think Cleveland has been very consistent, especially given the short time he's had to assimilate.

I use that description for shut down defenders, which Miller never came close to being.

Sounds like I was not a fan of Miller but nothing could be further from the truth. After Omier, I considered him our MVP, ahead of Wong and Pack.

I think he has shown up and provided much needed help but can be so much more.

His career FG% sits at 46.9. Avg 45% at fswho.

His entire game (3point% FT% Assists Steal) has improved significantly since joining Miami with a current FG% of 56.5

He shows flashes of consistency but needs to put it all together and become the high motor star we know he can be.. aka Miller's protégé

He was not...but on occasion he would get *** on people and box out physically.

Miller defended bigs in the post. He wasn’t a “shut down defender” but he was incredibly versatile and played **** good defense and rarely got bullied. He also had no aversion to boxing out on the boards… which has been an issue for Cleveland.
