In-state four-star cornerback Jaden Carey has added the Miami Hurricanes to his list of top remaining schools.
Carey hails from St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He announced his top remaining schools on Monday afternoon via social media, revealing that Miami is a finalist.
The 6-foot, 165-pound cornerback’s top-seven schools also include Ohio State, Florida, Auburn, Notre Dame, Oregon, and Ole Miss.
Carey is part of the 2027 class and is currently ranked No. 356 nationally, No. 38 at cornerback, and No. 36 in the state of Florida.
He has visited Miami’s campus three times during his recruitment cycle. First on an unofficial visit last March, then for the Hurricanes’ season opener against Notre Dame, and finally on a game visit for the Florida Gators matchup the following month.
Carey has also visited Ohio State, Florida twice, and Notre Dame. He does not have any other visits planned at this time.
During his sophomore season at St. Thomas Aquinas, Carey helped the team go 12-3 and win the state championship. He finished the season with 17 tackles, three interceptions, and six pass breakups in 12 games, according to MaxPreps.
