Francis Mauigoa Says He’ll “Die” For Jackson Dart After Being Drafted No. 10 By Giants

Former Miami Hurricanes offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa was selected by the New York Giants on Thursday night in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Mauigoa was like every other player getting their name called, going up to put the hat on, but during his interview with the reporter on live television, Mauigoa had a special message for Giants starting quarterback Jaxson Dart.

“I die by this ****, man. Man, I’m going to die for you, man. I know a lot of things have happened, but I’m ready to die for you,” stated Francis.

Now you maybe be asking, what's he meaning by "I know a lot of things have happened,". Well, the Giants offensive line provided very poorly for quarterback Jackson Dart this past season, giving up a total of 48 sacks this past season to opponents.

Mauigoa was one of the first biggest splashes in Hurricanes head coach Mario Cristobal’s tenure. He believed in Mario, and now he has been drafted inside the top 10 of the draft.

The Giants are now adding Mauigoa alongside veteran Giants offensive lineman Lucas Patrick, who just recently signed a deal with New York.

Francis was a key piece to why the Hurricanes offensive line was so good this past season. He started all 42 games of his career at the right tackle position for Miami and was the main piece for one of the best offensive line units in the country in all three seasons.

The Giants now add one of the best offensive lineman in the NFL Draft to their offensive line. Great pickup from New York.
