I think I mentioned this in another thread on him when the rumor first broke, but there front four really got after it. Suttles looks like a really good pick up. I love his aggressiveness. His aggressiveness is akin to what we were seeing in Alex Figueroa's high school highlights.

Speaking of which I gotta find 561Cane's comment saying Miami wasn't involved with Suttles. Neg on the way.

That makes sense! Probably right

It's crazy that Suttles slipped out of Florida to Nebraska. But, part of what may explain it is that he really didn't blow up until his senior year. From the looks of the stats and articles on him, he had a nice junior year (6 sacks maybe?) but was obviously just getting used to the game of football and still growing into his body (closer to 6'4 200). Senior year he not only got bigger but dominated, and I'm assuming he didn't really go to any camps or put his name out there that much because he didn't even get his nebraska offer until January, and prior to that was committed to Iowa State

The play at the :58 mark is, dare I say, Clowney-esque.

If your talking about that play vs Michigan, Clowney was unblocked. Suttles shakes off 2 blockers. It´s HS, I know. Just saying.

I'm hear brother. I just didn't think Coach Golden would touch the situation.

Lets hope the young man learned from it and conforms to structure and discipline...

Never doubt Golden taking chances on goons. He seems to love taking a chance on goons.

Has Suttles been accepted by the University or has he only signed a letter of intent? There has been no official acceptance by the University.

The thread says he signed. Like any other player he has to be academically cleared and clear compliance as well. If he signed it as recently as yesterday, those issues are gonna take some time to process.

Mega-props for manning up, however this highlights a giant pet peeve of mine - when people come to the board and make definitive, this-is-fact statements in a one or two line post and don't follow up (this is a perfect example of it but it happens all the time). You never know if it's someone who actually has inside information and knows something or someone who is just really sure about their opinion.

Nebraska votes to kick off Suttles et al while LSU votes to reinstate Jeremy Hill....Advantage LSU

What happened to the good ole days under Osborne wear Lawrence Phillips and Jason Peter were able to run rough shod over the campus?

Correct. For example, I know Kamalu and Derosier have signed but they still haven't been officially "cleared".

This. Rather than making definitive statements, which give the false impression of being based on actual info, I wish posters would state the opinion and why (e.g. "I can't imagine Golden would recruit _______, given that he was kicked out of ___________, for drugs, assault, or whatever.)

How did Tommie Frazier end up in Nebraska?

I was thinking the same thing!

How could this kid end up in Nebraska with that highlight reel

At the time Frazier graduated from HS Nebraska's option offence was a perfect fit for Frazier's skill set. It really worked out well for him and I believe he got a national championship out of it. The big three in Fl. all offered but they all probably had a position change for him as part of their plans.

And in the end, although they were not actually proven right, if Frazier´s goal was to earn money in the NFL, he likely should have gone with them. Treon and Ice need to heed this.

I thought Frazier had a medical condition that prevented him from getting drafted?

One thing I think you can be certain on is that Al and the staff did their research before getting involved
every situation is not a direct result of a kids character...some situations are isolated incidents...

The kid probably has stipulations with his scholly but he should be fine...
