Former Miami Hurricane defensive lineman Joshua Horton has joined the Georgia Bulldogs under coach Kirby Smart, marking a new chapter in the SEC.

This past season, Horton played in five games despite dealing with injuries. He recorded a total of four tackles, including a half-tackle for loss.

After graduating from high school, Horton, who was part of the 2023 class at Langston Hughes in Fairburn, Georgia, is returning home to play football. He was a four-star recruit when he finished high school.

Off-injured, pasted up, NIL too much vs. his value plateaued (no, my bad that’s Ny Carr)

Clearly UGA getting a bust

Georgia was involved in his high school recruitment too. Horton has the potential to be a first rounder. He’s just always hurt. Jaden Harris has awful tape. But he’s big and fast. Similar but different
why was he always full dressed out every game in pads ?

Major blow
100% agree,Today our top 3 DTs are Scott,Blay and Moten, unless we can find someone in the portal all 3 will have to play major snaps for us this season.Next up is true freshman Simpson and undersized true freshman Newton and undersized red shirt freshman Russell.Have to think they let Horton go because they had a better replacement in mind, but I'm not so sure.DT is looking very similar to dbs last season, very thin and not much top end talent.

I completely missed the announcement of him being in the portal. Or was this the announcement of his portaling away?

Absolutely no sense in caring about the individuals on the roster anymore.
He was the first to enter the spring portal from Miami earlier in the week

One day people are going to start asking how we can be going into year 4 so thin at DT.
