Former Hurricane Tight End Elijah Arroyo is a Super Bowl Champion

Former Hurricanes tight end Elijah Arroyo won the Big Game last night with the Seattle Seahawks. It was the game he had been waiting for his entire life, and now his hard work has finally paid off.

He’s a Super Bowl Champion.

On Sunday night, the Seattle Seahawks handled the New England Patriots, winning by a final score of 29–13. The victory secured Arroyo’s first-ever Super Bowl ring, marking the second championship in franchise history for Seattle.

During his rookie season with the Seahawks, Arroyo played as a backup tight end and served as a solid blocking option. In his lone season, he recorded 15 receptions for 179 yards and one touchdown, and also saw snaps during the Super Bowl.

During his time at Miami, Arroyo caught 35 passes for 590 yards and seven touchdowns this season for the Hurricanes. At one point during the season, his top speed was measured at 21.8 mph.

Across his four seasons at Miami, Arroyo totaled 46 receptions for 753 receiving yards and scored eight touchdowns.

Elijah Arroyo waited for his moment. Now he’s a Super Bowl Champion.

Hopefully he can earn a bigger role going forward, but its amazing already being a champion 1 year in. Congrats to Elijah
 
This game was a complete domination by the Hawks. I can only speak for my self, but I thought it had shades of us vs. the buckeyes. Low scoring first half, dominant D creating constant pressure with sacks, pounding RB play, forced INTs and pouting QB.
