Former Miami Hurricane Kyshawn George is headed to All-Star Weekend.



George was named to the NBA Rising Stars Game, highlighting the league’s top young players. It’s another step forward for the rookie and a cool moment for Miami fans watching from back home.

George spent one season at Miami, where he averaged 7.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, and shot 41% from three. His skill set helped him make the jump to the NBA after just one year in Coral Gables.

At the Wizards currently he is averaging 15.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game. He has a shooting percentage of 45.3 from the floor.

George is the first Miami Hurricane to be named to the NBA Rising Stars Game.

Now, he’s getting national recognition as one of the league’s rising young talents.
