Following his two-day visit for "305 Day" last week, 2027 five-star linebacker Kaden Henderson sat down with me to recap his visit and break down where he's at in his overall recruitment.

The Tampa Jesuit product spoke highly of the Canes and brought up the possibility of teaming up with fellow Florida five-stars Mark Matthews and Nick Lennear at the U.

A brief transcript is below:

You made a two-day visit for “305 day”, walk me through that experience and what stood out?

305 day, it really wasn't about recruiting, it was really just like building the overall relationships with the coaches, staff and players. So just bonding and I loved it. I feel like most schools don't do that, so having some time to really just a bond with the coaches and see their natural selves.

On Friday it was more ball, got to watch a couple practices when they player-led practices doing the lifts. Seeing the overall chemistry from the guys, even though it's the new year, just seeing the defensive guys have all the intensity makes a difference for sure.

But also talking ball with Coach Hetherman, that was the moment I want to highlight the most.

What excites you about Coach Hetherman’s system as a guy who’s specialty is linebackers?

The way he utilizes his guys, he showcases the linebackers. I mean this past year he definitely showcased the five techniques, those edges. The ways he can use me, I feel that's like what kind of what amazes me.

A lot of coaches, they wow you with a lot of things, but just sitting in a room with him I picked up on the scheme pretty quickly and I think I could definitely see myself in that program.

Turning the page to the main man himself, what’s your relationship like with Coach Cristobal?

Coach Cristobal is a funny guy. He saw me, he saw how long my arms were and he was just amazed. But that's my guy. I mean, every time I have a chance to talk to him, it's a great overall time. I know he's real and I love that.

You made a tweet with the eyes emoji after yourself, Mark Matthews and Nick Lennear were “crystal-balled” to Miami, how do you feel about teaming up with them at the U?

That would be crazy, man. I just see all the tweets of people talking about ‘that’s how Miami gets to that next step’. And being a Florida guy, I think just knowing what I could do for a program that's in-state go to the top and fight back for those national championships it means a lot.

If we have an opportunity to play on the same team, which we definitely can, I’m excited and it's going to be crazy if we all do to go to Miami.
