FIU transfer forward Eric Dibami is currently visiting Miami, as reported by Peter Ariz of CanesInSight.

Eric entered the transfer portal on March 26 and has since been linked to the Miami Hurricanes for several reasons. He is from the area and was coached in high school at Christopher Columbus by Hurricanes assistant coach Andrew Moran. He also played alongside Miami Hurricanes signee Caleb Gaskins at Chrisother Columbus.

At FIU this past season, he averaged 9.3 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. Miami could view the 6-foot-10 center as a depth option in the frontcourt.

Eric played in all 30 games, starting each one and averaging 29.0 minutes, 9.3 points, and 7.4 rebounds per game. He had shooting percentages of 52.7% from the field, and 57% from the free throw line.

Check out some of his highlights down below:

Played ~30 min as a true freshman in a quality mid-major league and was first team all freshman. Can see him played ~18-20 min a game as a backup big and then taking over for Somto in '27.

Yeah he’s an easy take.

Did nothing against us. Played 10 minutes and fouled out as quickly. Definite take, tho—and the STOCKS (steals + blocks) numbers are elite.

With all due respect, kid was 9 games into his freshman year of college LOL

Would be a **** of an upgrade over Altuntas, although I'm not sure who that says more about

Fouled out of 3 games, and committed 4 fouls in 10 others, which is fine as a backup 5

lol i feel you, respect reciprocated. hoops is hoops tho.

He started every game and foul trouble is a weak spot. He’d be a great addition and i hope we get him; however, no one else including Trinton mentioned that he played against us.

That was the last time it happened last season though which is good in & of itself. Nebraska had a better year than us and he played well against them in his second game.

Wasn’t tryna be pessimistic or anything like that.

Yeah i agree; and in the 3rd time he fouled out he logged 38 minutes so he learned pretty quickly after our game

Tough on the boards, has some skill. Would be a very nice backup 5 or maybe even go big at times with him at the 4.
